Ahdiiah and Tamlikiah Will

Issue No. 2323- A Will means that a person recommends that after his death certain tasks be completed, and this is called al-waṣīyah al-‘ahdīyah, like directions given about one’s shroud and the burial place and other ceremonies; or a person states in his Will that after his death a part of his properties become the property of a certain person. This is called al-waṣīyah al-tamlīkīyah; or he appoints someone as the legal guardian of his children.

All Acts That Require Wuḍū or Ghusl Can Be Performed with Tayammum

Issue No.667- The one whose obligation is to perform tayammum can perform all those acts which need to be done with wuḍū or ghusl by the same tayammum as long as his tayammum and the excuse remain, so it is permissible for him to touch the s c r i p t of the holy Quran, etc., even if he has performed tayammum due to shortage of prayer time.

Issue No.2406- The Holy Qur’an, ring, and sword of the deceased and the clothes worn by him or the clothes which he had prepared to wear, are the property of the eldest son. And if out of the four things the deceased has left more than one, for example, he has left two copies of the Holy Qur’an, or two rings and if he had been using all of them, then all of them belong to the eldest son.

Issue No. 1602- If wheat, barley, dates, and grapes are irrigated with rain water, Qanats, river, dam, or benefit from the moisture of the land, the zakāt due on them is 10% and if they are watered with deep, semi deep or shallow well water or with bucket, etc., the zakāt payable on them is 5%.

Animal Should Not Be Skinned before Dying

Issue No. 2231- The head of the animal should not be severed from its body before it has completely died as a recommended precaution. Therefore, if there is some equipment for slaughtering animals which sever the head of the animal, though the animal does not become haram but it would be better that they work in a way that the head is not cut off completely. In any case, all the conditions prescribed for slaughtering should be observed in machines. It is also a recommended precaution that the spinal cord of the animal which is in the middle of the vertebral column, should not be cut before the animal dies, nor should the animal be skinned before it dies.
